I went to Monroe, Wis. today for 1550 parts and stopped at Moore Tires in Rock Falls, Ill. on the way home and priced a set of tires for the 1550. 15.5x38 8 ply Petlas tires were $481 each. Firestone's were $608 each. Tubes were $75.15 each. 6.00x16 tri rib fronts were Speedway 8 plys at $77.50 each and tubes were $16.35. I'm not ready for tires yet, but I'm thinking I better get them while I can instead of waiting and maybe can't get them when I'm ready for them. Any thoughts on Petlas tires?? The guy said they sell a lot of them for antique tractors. I need to check with the Firestone store in Muscatine tomorrow, I stopped in a month or so ago and they had BKT 15.5x38 tires for $450 each, don't know if the prices has gone up or not. Any thoughts????
