I posted this on the John Deere tractor page, but didn’t get any response, so I thought I’d try here.
I had the injector pump on my R professionally rebuilt about 80 hours ago. I recently discovered diesel in the oil, the transfer pump was bad, so I fixed that. I noticed the injector pump was leaking from both pumps, but especially the no.2 pump. So I took it back to the guy who rebuilt it, he found a broken washer in the no.2 pump, he fixed it. I put it back on, it didn’t leak as fast, but it did still leak. The guy said it’s normal for those pumps to leak a little. Is that true? Also how much is it supposed to leak? Thanks
