Ok Yes I did lift up on the rod and made sure I had full travel in both directions by disconnecting the rod. Its not cold enough here to freeze. I am in Texas but I have seen condensation on all my old tractors especially in the winter when the temp changes from cold to hot. Also the hose currently is piped into the port on the left side of the tractor as you view from sitting in the seat. I can try moving to a different port if it makes no difference which one the cylinder is piped to. Thanks to everyone responding as I know nothing about these.
