Farmall H Hydraulic issue

I have a farmall H with an aftermarket 3 pt hitch. I got the tractor out recently after it had set in the barn several years and got it running again. When I cranked the tractor and pulled the lift handle the lift raised good and strong. Problem is it wont lower. I know the lever has full travel both directions. The lift cylinder only has one hose that goes connecting it to the tractor so i assume the fluid travels both directions through the same hose. I thought maybe it needed weight to lower but it will not lower with weight applied. I know nothing about farmall hydraulics. Any ideas? I appreciate any responses and help. Thanks

Probably has a restrictor in the line, or the 3-point would drop like a rock. Check the ends of the hose, you should be able to see it, it'll look like a union. It's likely plugged with junk.

If I remember correctly depending on which of the three lines coming out of the tractor from the pump in the middle (one on one side two on the other) , one has a restriction in like mentioned. Switching to one of the front most ones eliminates that. It was for the rear of a cultivator so it would time differently when going into the rows.

May try blocking the 3 point so it doesn't lower and then have a bucket to collect oil and remove hose at side of center housing. Take block or lift out so hitch can lower. If it goes down the problem is in the unit. If doesn't lower something in hose or hitch cylinder. May be a stupid question but did you lift up on the operating rod so the stop on bottom of rod would let rod go full forward? If problem is in unit all three outlet ports let pressure back in with rod full forward. Rear on left side does have a different ball seat that is opened to let oil flow back. So one thing to try if the seat is not opening is to move line to a port with different ball seat and see if it works. Another question is it cold enough to freeze at your location if oil has water in it? High condensation areas can built water in housings when sitting a while.

Ok Yes I did lift up on the rod and made sure I had full travel in both directions by disconnecting the rod. Its not cold enough
here to freeze. I am in Texas but I have seen condensation on all my old tractors especially in the winter when the temp changes
from cold to hot. Also the hose currently is piped into the port on the left side of the tractor as you view from sitting in the
seat. I can try moving to a different port if it makes no difference which one the cylinder is piped to. Thanks to everyone
responding as I know nothing about these.

Maybe this picture will help. Left rear port when setting in seat has no delay when lever is pulled back unless the delay lift unit is installed to line. Only difference in drop is if you push lever slow enough forward the front two outlets will let fluid back to unit first. Rod all forward all outlets drop the same unless someone added a restriction.

Long shot, but kinda bump it down. When the rod is all the way forward just kinda bump it to make sure its actually releasing, and mkae sure the lever itself is tight in the cogs on the pump.
