Bill , I had a couple big blocks in cars in the mid to late 60's , that was "REAL HORSEPOWER" , no computers , fuel injection and all the rest of the garbage of today . Had a '66 Impala SS , 396 375hp turbo400 trans , drove the H----out of it , these people today can chip-reprogram whatever you call it but there is no match for the power we had back then . Had torque and top end . Also had a '69 Caprice with a 427 - 335hp was kind of mild compared to the 396 , but I kinda mellowed out by then too . My son has a 96 Z28 Camero and when I tell him about real power he thinks I'm b----sing him , they will never know . JIM
