We had a fawn caught in an old line fence in the woods years ago. She had been pulling to try to get out and had cut thru the bone. We freed her and brought her up to the house, used a pair of linesman pliers to cut the remaining skin, bandaged her up and called out a conservation office who got us a permit to keep her. She lived for 17 years at the farm. Best vegetarian attack dog ever and a great companion. Made it hard to go hunting after that.
