I would tell hin you'll give him an extra 50 to get it running IF you purchase it otherwise I think I would just keep running, I'm looking for the same tractor and if I found that kind of deal I'd offer 200/500 if the engine is free and depending if all the sheet metal is there and in good shape including the rims, if he don't take it I guess you don't want it. I find that most times if they won't give you a price up front they are looking to make a fortune on the deal, have run into a few deals where the seller had no idea what it was worth but it sounds to me like he knows more than he's letting on or hopeing for some unknowing person to pay big bucks for it. Just my .o2 worth
