Air/oil cooled engines are a great design!! Think about all the parts they don't have to give you problems later!! NO radiator, thermostat, hoses, water pump, cyclinder liner crosion, and many more advantages! Deutz was selling tractors here in the U.S. in the 60's LONG before they bought Allis. They are very good tractors for their time, and hundreds were sold in my area, many farmers here are still farming with Deutz tractors. I've had (3) Deutz, and still have one. My (2) Agco's are all so air/oil cooled, and they are great tractors that start easily no matter how cold it gets (with out ether), warm up fast, and work all day with out complaint! There were many different brands of Air/oil cooled tractors imported into the U.S., and still are, includeing the one in the picture! Robert
