Looking at the photos in the plowing thread makes me wonder. Without a roll-over plow do you dead head back to the starting point? The photos are showing the sod turned only one way?
When I plowed my acre I went down one side and then up at about the middle and worked my way to the inside on one side and to the outside on the other. Problem was I ended up with a pretty good ditch in the middle where I changed directions.
