How much can I haul with a 1 ton Dual wheel FWD dump?

Got sick of paying people to haul my junk so I bought a 1978 gas dumptruck. It also does a great job of plowing 3 feet of snow in the winter. Won't say what it is cause all I'll get is a Ford, Chevy, Dodge dispute.

Question is:

Assuming I've got good electric brakes on the trailer, what is a safe amount to tow? ( trailer + cargo)

I've got an auto trans with a low gear in my transfer case.

I've also got some mountain hiways here with 1000 foot climbs and downhills.

Have tractors ranging from 2000 to 12000lbs. I anticipate getting a 2500-3500lb trailer with a 12000 axle set.
