hey curt you wouldnt happen to have that truck still by chance would ya? i have a '78 ford ton 2 wheel drive and am looking for a good 79 ford ton 4 wheeldrive with 460 in it. Fargo like i said before i have a 78 ton ford dont know and dont care if legal or not but i pull a 24' gooseneck trailer with 14,000 capacity and a haula 13,000 pound tractor with it. i belive my truck is only rated at 10,000 but not sure. my brother in law has a '78 ford ton 2wd with 10' dump bed on it and works just great for hauling dirt tractors or both. another thing to consider is the motor, all i know about is fords so if it has a 390 400(351 modified) or 460 ithink you ought to be alright. if its automatic and its a ford you want to make sure it has a c-6 tranny or nothing else will hold up. would ya please tell us what it is????
