Sorry to hear about that, it is very aggravating and unsettling to say the least, maybe they will get the guys. I heard a story once of a guy whose brother was a thief,he and his pal had liked to hit the rural areas. They would case the property for up to a week or more and sometimes even drive in to see if anyone would notice, if questioned they would say they were lost and move on. One guy would drop the other off in the middle of the night and he would sneak in and take stuff , then get picked up and go. The thing that has always stuck with me about the story is the 2 things he said that would cause him to automatically dismiss a place as a possible target: Dogs and too many lights.
