I guess the whole point I was trying to make was not to make as much money as a person could but just that it seems unfortunate that the price of our products in the stores keep going up the cost of our inputs keep going up but the farm gate value of our products over the last 4 years have been going down. It�s just a reality of life that trying to make a living off a small scale farm with a fair bit of debt does not pan out. There�s a lot of things about milking cows that I will miss but the panic of how are we going to pay our bills once the cropping expenses are paid ,cattle buyers telling me the extra heifers we have for sale are only half what it cost to raise them,and our milk price being low are not on that list. Our kids are not interested in the cows at all and I can�t keep doing all the barn work year round by myself. Somethings gotta give.
