Gearing Question relating to a math problem????

When I'm riding my bicycle, I've often wondered about the following problem whether it would relate to a bicycle or a tractor. Let's say that you had 2 bicycles (or tractors) that were identical in every way except for two sprockets (or gears) in the drive train. Suppose that machine 'A' had a power sprocket or gear with say 20 teeth. This would be the one that the person is pedalling or the tractor engine is driving. This machine 'A' has an output sprocket or gear with say 80 teeth. So we have a 1:4 ratio of teeth in the first machine. Now, suppose we had machine 'B' having say 30 teeth in the power sprocket/gear and 120 teeth in the output sprocket/gear. This ratio is again 1:4 right? So my question is if these 2 machines were compared to each other, would the person operating the bike (or the tractor engine) work equally hard to move the bike/tractor? Let's (if we can) disregard the fact that the sprockets/gears in machine 'B' would have more mass since they are larger, so I guess it is a hypothetical question. When you provide your answer, maybe try to explain your reasoning.
