Around here, the Amish are the most honest, upstanding individuals I've ever met! It's the ENGLISH you have to watch VERY close....Best neighbors we've ever had - and that's including some RELATIVES. Help them and they help you. Just had two of the local boys come over and stack firewood last night. All the "pay" they would take was a bag of M&M's. Most people don't take the time to get to know the Amish, and form opinions without much information. Out of the 2,000-3,000 Amish I have known in several states (and a foreign country), I can count on one hand those I did not trust. I can't say that about the English.
