The kids and I want to go to Iowa for vacation to see our niece/cousin's track meet in Des Moines in a few weeks. My husband doesn't want to go - he says Iowa isn't a vacation spot. We would be driving from Ohio, so I'm looking for things to do in Iowa or on our way. Most of us like tractors (red ones), so that's why I thought of inquiring on here. I was hoping for a tractor museum as well as some outdoor attractions such as hiking. Kids are also into science, so that type of museum would also work. We've vacationed in Chicago before, so I don't really want to go there on the way. Does anyone recommend the National Farm toy museum or a factory tour at Ertl?
