Here it is almost mid September, and the rain has stopped for a few days, and the grain , which has been slow to ripen , is now ready. Swathed some today, and will cut more tomorrow. Considering that this field couldn't be sprayed because of rain everyday, or the ground just being too wet to travel on, this crop of grain is surprisingly clean, and looks like a decent crop of straw. Hard to tell how the grain will weight, I can just feed IT to young stock if it is light.
