Oh yeah, I can relate, my Mom's house has hard water and if you there is a small leak it ends up an all day job because all the pipes are paper thin. It should all be changed to pex. Last fall I decided to fix the one sink before my brother and his wife came for Christmas. When I tried to take the faucet apart to replace the washer it twisted off behind the sink. Old sink not standard hole spacing so replaced sink and all.
