I would skip the MF 150 with hydraulic problems. You could easily spend more than you paid for the tractor to get it to work. You need to asked yourself what you want to be doing on your farm. Is it working on old equipment and THEN playing on the farm or playing on the farm with working equipment???? Notice the difference in what your doing.
You can find a more modern tractor in the 50 HP class for the $4000-5000 in good working order. You could easily have that in the MF 150 after the repairs. If you not opposed to gas engines than you can easily find one in that range. Come back here and asked us and we can tell you the good and bad of any you may find.
I am a JD man but I will tell you to stay away from a JD 2010 , JD 3010/20 gas, and any of the JD utility tractors with hydraulic p[problems.
