I use my 3500 watt champion on wheels to power chainsaw and hedge trimmer more than back up power. However many people in country are out of power. Thanks to trees and last night storm that came through last night.
My portable generator exceeds my needs to power coffee pot, microwave, electric skillet, electric pressure cooker, not all at same time. It keeps my two refrigerators angle well goings.
No big deal for me to run cords through Windows and not on floor to trip over. I left old pump plumbed in when I had new well installed. I can easily run cord to basement and have water.
It's nice to camp out in house with generator. If it were really hot, I would use bedroom in basement. No AC needed there, 55 degrees most of the time.
