Flooding isn't as bad as 2008. We got 9.5 inches in 10 days. Some roads are closed. School was canceled Friday because buses couldn't get down country roads that typically flood. Some water in fields, some crops went under. No major damage like we had in 2008. Water level in river is slowly going down.
Crazy thing is a farmer to the south had his irrigation pumping yesterday.
In 2008 we got 12 inches in about 12 hours. That flooded homes that never flooded before. Those homes didn't have flood insurance and they are sitting empty. People walked away from them. geo
