I've been in a 1200sqft ranch with one bath for 32 years. 12 years ago we remodeled the bathroom and removed the tub and installed a large walk in shower. Best idea my wife ever had. My 3 year old grandson prefers a shower over a bath even though they have a tub at home. As far as resale, I plan on dying here, so I really could care less. Even if we do sell, the convenience of not having to climb over the side of a tub to take a shower at 63, is worth what ever we lose.
