Had a big snow storm in 2011, wasn't able to get out of our drive for almost a week. Had a friend with a 4x4 pickup come out and take the wife to town so she could make it to work. That summer I sold my really nice 71 Chevy pickup and bought a 4x4 pickup. I like the newer truck but haven't needed the 4x4 since I bought the truck.
Better to have and not need than to need and not have.
