:?: I have a 1952 Ford 8n tractor with a front end loader, it weighs 1000 pounds plus the weight of the tractor at 2400 pounds. I am planning on having a Sherman power digger backhoe--model 54A 900--installed on it. How much more weight should be installed on the front axel assembly for improved counterbalancing? The backhoe was originally installed on a 1947 Ford 8n tractor at the factory. I plan to use it only around my house doing light excavating and landscaping .
