Our New Years tradition is to go to the Harley Gerdes consigmment sale it was pretty well full of cold folks milling around.
We went to find a good running gear. It was downhill from there. We ended up with a 27 foot field cultivator, two running gears (with boxes currently), a Winpower pto generator and welder for $200, a DoEeze (sp?) pickup bed that I am going to cut up and use as Crick crossing, and the cream puff. A 1975 Ford grain truck with 20,000 miles. It has a 16 foot Giant bed and had one owner. It's like a time capsule. We will likely use it for grain since it is bigger and the hoist is faster the old 58 and 56 can be relegated to to dirt work. It's nice to have a straight truck when you are finishing a field or someone has to wait in line and the semis are full. We have been using the 58 but it holds just shy of s combine tank full. That's annoying. It's way too nice to beat up - even if it is Robins egg blue.
