The clinic told me that my health insurance did not cover the $285 cost of the shingles vaccine. Did some more checking and found that we could go to a Safeway pharmacy and our health insurance would pay for the shots, so wife and I both got the shot 5 years ago. If you have health insurance do some checking; it may be covered.
