Just had the clutch replaced for $1400. When the clutch is depressed slightly in neutral I hear a chattering noise. Looking at it from the inspection plate, it looks like the noise is coming from the throw out bearing just before it contacts the pressure plate. If you depress the clutch fast like you normally would in operation, no noise of course. Is this a problem that would wear out the bearing or pressure plate prematurely?
