Purchased a John Deere B off of an individual the other day. Having problems with the alternator. Some times it charges and some times it doesn't. Seem to kick in when tractor is reved up to max. I believe the John deere B series ran at 1250 rpm but not sure. Could it just not be spinning the alternator quick enough to get it started. Would replacing the pully on the alternator fix the problem. Thanks.
