I am fencing a newly rented pasture and I need to install a battery powered energizer as there is no other power source nearby. Buying a solar powered one would be the easiest way to go but I am on a low budget and I have a 220V energizer and an ordinary 12V - 60Ah tractor battery available. I was wondering if I could just buy a 12V DC/220V AC inverter and hook it up with this energizer and battery. I am talking about a 300 W inverter and the energizer says 8.4 Joule loaded and 6.1 Joule pulse energy. The fence is single strand less than 2 miles. Will this set up work?
