I put an inverter in a guy's truck once. 400Watt inverter and to get the 400 watts the engine had to be running 4000 rpm. Great power source.........Ha!
I used batteries for years. Got the size 27 deep cycle the fishermen use and charge every couple of months. What I liked about it was every time lightening struck within 50 miles it didn't blow the fuse to the barn ac utility power.
