How long before that spills over to the auto industry where a monthly payment to the manufacturer is expected for you to continue to have the privilege of driving the car you bought? How long before you go to get into your car and it won't run because you haven't bought the appropriate amount of rustproofing, fabric protection, overpriced oils changes, transmission ans cooling system flushes? Or the just turned it off so you'll have to pay them $100 for the tow and $300 to hook it up to the computer. How many car dealers out there would turn your car off so they could force you to buy a new car AND buy your trade a next to nothing because it doesn't run. Or big brother turns your car off because they feel you owe them money or that you haven't "paid your fair share"
