I'm betting the bolt pattern to your Tecumseh engine is standard and you can find something else that will work better, longer and cheaper than a New Tecumseh. There is a company that bought the engine line from Tecumseh, IIRC they're using the Lauson name (a name used pre-Tecumseh) and have hooked up with the folks at LCT (Liquid Combustion Technologies) to supply new engines. Before I went Tecumseh I'd look at one of those Chinese Honda clone engines. Having dealt with Hondas, LCTs and B&S Inteks I can tell you those new OHV engines are stronger, quieter, use less fuel and are a lot less trouble prone. I still maintain there is a reason Tecumseh went out of business, if you mess around with them long enough you too can find out why. If you look at Northern Equipment you'll find engines, couplings and housings to bolt hydraulic pumps on engines, if you can match an engine to your pump you could probably match you pump to an engine.
