As a diabetic, it is going to take a little more time than usual to heal. Non diabetics, healing will go faster using a salt water mouth wash solution does help, but my mouth is still sore.I am bound and determined to use my teeth when the mouth heals up, I can eat most everything now except pickles. What I miss the most is the flavor of food when the uppers are put in. My last visit with the dentist, they did polish out the tops so they weren't quite as thick, been googling tooth extractions and diabetes. Seems like it is going to be a little over 30 days for enough healing to be able to start using my choppers. I was wondering if other diabetics has had that problem here on yesterdays tractors?
Teeth sure look nice when I got them in,however its been short stints up til now. I have to have them ready when the corn shows on the cob and apples show on the tree.I hope it's not wishful thinking to be able to eat corn on the cob, apples, cucumbers and radishes.
The garden is coming along nicely,lots of plantings are showing their heads thru the soil.So it's a race to see which gets ready first,teeth or fresh garden veggies.
The eye surgeon is coming down from Ashland to evaluate the cataracts in June 23rd,as of now my eyesight is closing down due to the cataracts. It will be nice to see again,so my son don't have to read everything to me,bless his heart. I don't think the diabetes will be a deterrent, at least I hope not. It is one he@@ of a nasty disease,anyway I would appreciate any information from you folks,if you are diabetic and undergone both dental and eye procedures you have gone thru with success.
