I severely broke my ankle in 76 had 7 pins put in an lived with it for 30 years before having in fused in 06. I have to say I wish I had it done much sooner. It is not perfect by any means but it is much better than it was. Still have some pain and walking all day on concrete still causes pain. I dont have much limp at all and a lot of people would never know I have had it done if I did not tell them. Good luck. Peter
