Getting this girl started, rescued from scrap yard. Finally got good spark, and started. Ran fair for a minute. Opened the oil line to ensure oil pressure...no oil flow despite 5 quarts new oil. Then it quit. Checked distributor and found the rotor not turning, pin sheared. Late model angle mount.
OK, so I can suspect the oil relief plunger for the oil pressure issue, but what could cause the distributor pin to shear? The distributor shaft spins freely, nothing jammed or snagged.
At some point this tractor might not be worth fixing, but if this is a simple problem, then I'm willing to go ahead.
