Make it twice as big as your sure you'll need. It will still be too small, but. I second the widest, tallest door you can afford, you won't regret it. When we bought our house, the garage had 2 8' doors with a 2' post in the center of a 18' opening. My wife couldn't park a Dodge(Mitsubishi)Colt in there without hitting something. I re placed them with an 18' door because I got tired of repairing stuff.
