Garage/dually pickup

Im going to build a garage this summer and was wondering what size door to put in to fit a dually pickup. I don't have the pickup yet so I cant measure. What size do you have?

I put in 10' wide doors and have plenty of room with trailer tow mirrors on my SRW F350 which would be the same on a dually. Just remember 8' 6" is max legal width on most roads today so your new dually won't be any wider than that. You will lose 2"-6" in usable width depending on how you trim your doors.

Single car garage door at least 10'. I built a double with an 18'
door. Thats really nice. I also went 30' deep. You'll need every bit
of that if you end up with a crew cab with 8' bed.

My garage is 28x38 with a 18' door. You can see here what it looks like with 2 vehicles hugging both sides of the door. They could be closer but we would bang the doors. And be sure to get it 8' tall.I sure wish I had. Good Luck.

Suggest 8' H x 10' W as a minimum. Have Dodge dually that will barely squeak into an older 30' x 30' garage with two 7' H x 9' W doors. Have folded the mirrors a time or two (unintentionally).

If you can go with a 12ft wide and 10ft overhead. I have a 10ft wide and an 12ft and both can be to narrow at times and it is difficult to make the openings wider. I have one garage with a 9ft opening and it is good to get a lawn mower in but a little close for a pickup.

My vote would be for 12ft. wide and 10ft high. You won't regret it. And the suggestion to go at least 30ft. deep with your garage is a good idea, too. I gar-un-tee if you go 30 you'll thank your lucky starts you did and still wish you had gone 36ft.

Make it twice as big as your sure you'll need. It
will still be too small, but. I second the widest,
tallest door you can afford, you won't regret it.
When we bought our house, the garage had 2 8' doors
with a 2' post in the center of a 18' opening. My
wife couldn't park a Dodge(Mitsubishi)Colt in there
without hitting something. I re placed them with
an 18' door because I got tired of repairing stuff.
