I don't think it stuck. It takes a lot of time to hammer the end of an intake valve to look like yours. I think the intake valve clearance became so big, perhaps the push rod came off the rocker arm. I would look for scratches on push rod to confirm.
The weird thing I see is most OHV have a locking nut on adjustment. All I see is an allen head. Where is the locking nut?
It would be interesting to find out what the cause is. Post back.
