We changed a front brake line the other day on a 2005 when plowing snow. Found a crack in the frame right behind where the A-arm mounts. Started looking at others, found 3 others cracked or broken in same spot in years from 2004 to 2007. All plow snow and have since brand new. If you do this with your truck, take a good look. My 2001 and 2002 have an extra gusset right there and have not broken. Starting with 2008 they look different I think and are fine. All the trucks I have from the 90's that plow snow are fine. Maybe everyone knows about this problem but if you don't just wanted to pass it along. Found more people with problems when I looked on the internet. Great. We are in the process of fixing them right now.
