I went with a friend to look at a tractor he was interested in purchasing.
It was a very clean small MF and it ran good. While inspecting the tractor, I noticed a lot of "squeeze out" sealer on nearly every gasket--RED FLAG!!
I asked the owner what work had been done and he stated a friend had just overhauled it.
From past experience I NEVER buy a piece of equipment that has been recently repaired, unless I know who did the work. I advised my friend to pass--we will find another.
I have found that many people will patch a machine just good enough to sell--why would they spend a lot of money to do it right knowing the are going to sell??
