John, thanks so much for your mature, thoughtful and non vitriolic response. I was just wondering why an interesting and varied program format had become a single interest show. 10 days of anything is too much (well, almost anything).
I have been to rodeos and declined opportunities to try the events. I agree that many sports (including rodeo) have vastly overpaid participants and the commercialization has ruined many forms of entertainment. If you want 10 continuous days of rodeo than go there and enjoy yourself.
I also do not need rodeo or any other sport to make me feel confident in my manhood. I respect someone being good and working hard to achieve in any area of their life. Being disrespectful accomplishes little except an insight to ones true self. Diversity is one of the things that makes our nation great.
