We used to have a neighbor family with eight very bright, intelligent kids. All of them went on to college and a good prestigious career. They were a devout religious family who never missed mass and did all the things their religion wanted them to do. The youngest one who happens to be a guy, is gay. When I found out it shocked me because I remember them as being raised in a solid farm family where the husband sat at the top of the totem pole and the wife was required to be a stay at home mom who should be at home baking cookies and doing laundry.
