Am looking at buying a diesel 656 tractor, it has a few hours and needs some TLC. One item of repair that I need some help with is that the owner does not know how to shut the tractor off, he puts the tractor into 5th gear and stalls the tractor. I'm guessing that the tractor should shut down by lowering rpm lever until it bottoms out. Is this correct, could the problem be in the linkage either bound, bent or ?
Any 656 owners please confirm how to shut engine off, also good are these tractors, any noted issues I should be looking for?
