I am looking to make myself a toolbox that I can mount on my most commonly used implements and tractors. Something that can be removed easily and put onto the next piece of machinery. I'm getting tired of wondering which piece of equipment has my other 3/4 wrench, long screwdriver, vice grips, whatever. It seems if I had one magic tool box that held one set of tools to take out to the field and the other set of tools to leave in the shop, I should always be set, whether at home or in the field.
Do any of you do such a thing? Do you know of a place to buy a toolbox of decent size that has an attachment bracket that could be mounted to various different pieces of equipment? I'm thinking something like a 3 drawer craftsman toolbox, say 12" high, 12" deep and say 28" long or something similar?
Also, what tools would you likely carry in such a do-it-all-in-the-field type of toolbox??
