It took a while but what I did was at the end of the season for a piece of equipment when I clean it out , I take a marker and make a list on an inside panel of all the tools I take out of it.
Then the next season I load up a small carry on toolbox with all the tools on the list from the last season.
Saves time and you don't end up bringing along stuff you never use. Or forget what you really need.
Often there are specialty tools you need that you would never think to bring.
