Despite a small bit of rr wheat being found in a field in Oregon, there is no commercially available rr wheat. It was worked on a decade ago, and New Zealand - Australia are working on another type of modified wheat, but nothing is available commercially at this time.
No tilling wheat into a grass does seem pretty odd.
The experts say it works well to do so with beans.
I wouldn't know, this is not a notill area, not at all. Only seen it tried once, and it never rained that year after planting, they couldn't get the grass killed it was so dry, the beans never spouted.
