Checked the edge of the field I posted about where the guy notilled into fescue. Looked at the edge and can see that beans are coming up, but there is by no means a stand yet. We have had 51/2 inches of rain in June so far including 1 1/4 inch last night so I didn't go far into the field.
I mentioned the he notilled wheat last fall and that Johnson grass is bad in it. For curiousity, is there a spray that would kill Johnson grass in wheat? Is there any Roundup ready wheat? Too late for his wheat anyway.
Due to all the rain, I see a lot of small grain bedded down.
On a brighter note, sweet corn in my garden is starting to tassel. (W SC).
