Great pic. My grandfather served in the 10th Armored landed in Cherbourg France on one of the first troop ships that sailed from the states directly to France. Was at Bastogne Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. Made 2nd Lieutenant after they ran out of West Point grads. It was his second time in the army went in in 37 got out in early 41 and was called back in 41. I could go on and on about him but I want. I 'll just say it was one he!! of a generation of young men . My grandfather has been gone for a lot of years but I still miss him every day
