June 7th my father was in La Madeline, France. His company, had been both trained as Quartermaster and Infantry. Originally sent to Egypt to deliver supplies, their trucks were still in Virginia. They used Italian and German trucks they repainted... they were transferred to Infantry and sent to Tunisia. From there they were transferred to England. They found their trucks in transit and had them dropped off. They were among the first resupply trucks to land at Utah Beach on June 6th.
