What is ISO-100 viscosity in oil? I went to change the oil on my compressor and have been using Sae 30w so I didn't want to mix something different and the new oil is marked ISO-100. I then got online and looked for a translation and found almost half say 30w and the other half say 40w. I finally gave up and drained what 30w oil out of the compressor I had put in and just used the ISO-100. I don't understand after more than a century of SAE they had to come up with a new term.
